Grandma’s home remedies

Angocin:

Anti-Infect is a herbal medicine used to ward off infections. 

It is used to relieve the symptoms of acute inflammatory diseases of the bronchi, nasal cavities and urinary tract.

Fever:

Vinegar wrap: Mix vinegar and water, soak in a cloth and wrap feet or calves with it. Repeat until the fever drops.

Garlic Chain:

Cut it into leaves, simply thread it on a thread and hang it around your neck (helps against fever)

Elderberry juice with cranberries  (also works with jam) heat up and drink before going to bed.

(Relieves fever and cough)

Cough Syrup:

Cut an onion into rings, put in a glass, add 3-4 tablespoons of water and 1-2 tablespoons of sugar (preferably brown sugar) wait a few hours and take the juice teaspoon by teaspoon.

Or hollow out radish and fill up with rock sugar. After about 1 hour you can take out the first juice.

Chest and bronchi:

Roast the onion lightly in pork fat, then place in a thin cloth and place on the breast very warm.

Repeat as often as you like.

Also suitable for open, festering or poorly healing wounds.

For conjunctivitis or flashes of lightning  (when welding) place raw potato slices on the eyes.

 

Tea's:

Flatulence  Adults + babies (colic)  Caraway water: briefly boil 1 liter of water,  then add half a teaspoon of caraway seeds and let it steep for 2-3 minutes.

For babies, prepare all bottles with this water and also give to drink :-)

Fennel tea: is also a well-known remedy  against flatulence.

Ginger tea:  Ginger slices in the water  boil and  drink warm or cold (any  dilute to taste)  supports the immune system, warms the body and a lot  more.

Käspappel tea:  general for flu-like infections, cold, etc.
